Shechtman Halperin Savage, LLP has an opening in its Consumer Collections department for a full-time File Clerk. Primary responsibilities and qualifications are listed below. Position Summary:
To assist, organize, track and complete assigned tasks for the collection department in a timely and efficient manner. Works closely with collectors providing ongoing support daily. Identifies problems and reports them to management.

Primary responsibilities include:
1. Sorts and processes collection mail daily.

2. Scans all collection documents daily and indexes them to Collection Matters.

3! . Manages all incoming and outgoing faxes for the collection d! epartment.

4. Sorts and updates all return mail through Collection Master.

5. Skip traces to identify new addresses, phone numbers and new employment.

6. Assist with department projects.

7. Tracks all original documents received onto a spreadsheet.

8. Monitors On Base to ensure indexing is current.

9. Assists with cross training of filing clerk’s procedures within the department.

10. Perform Reception backup as needed.

11. Performs all other assigned duties.
Job Requirements

  • Possess good planning and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Experienced in Microsoft Office and have strong calculator and keyboard skills.
Education Requirements

  • High School diploma/ GED

Participation in a 401(k) Plan with a Safe-Harbor Match and a Roth feature, provided by Great-West Retirement Services. The Firm will match dollar for dollar ! up to 3% of your annual salary and then $.50 on every dollar on the next 2%. Your employee contributions, as well as these matching contributions, are 100% vested immediately.
