The Senior Legal Counsel, Employment La! w will join a collegial team of seven other employment lawyers within a 50-lawyer legal department, reporting to the Vice President and Senior Legal Counsel â€" Employment Law. The position is based out of Woonsocket, RI.
Position Responsibilities:
- Provide advice and support on employment law matters to internal CVS Caremark business and HR partners
- Set strategy and oversee outside counsel on administrative charges and lawsuits
- Draft and negotiate employment related agreements and policies
- Partner with Compliance to review new employment laws and address best practices
- Investigate and respond to demand letters
- Provide advice on employment law matters arising in corporate transactions Required Qualifications:
Expe! rience working in a corporate legal environment Excellent writ! ing and oral communication skills Experience with employment law issues in corporate transactions Experience with class action management Education:
Graduate of a law school accredited by the American Bar Association, admitted to a state bar and currently in good standing. Business Overview:
