Description: Rhode Island Hospital and its Hasbro Children's Hospital is currently interviewing Registered Nurse\Worker's Comp Claim Manager right now, this vacancy will be placed in Rhode Island. Description : Reports to the Director of Lifespan Employee Health Services, Workers’ Compensation, and Disability Management. Utilizing a collaborative process, works with Lifespan Employee Health Services (EHS) team, employees, managers, providers, attorneys, claims adjusters, and Human Resources, to plan, implement, and evaluate plans of care for Lifespan employees who are on Workers’ Compensation. Works with approp! riate stakeholders to develop and facilitate return-to-work pl! ans and transitional duty program to reduce costs.
Qualifications :
Baccalaureate degree in a health related field required.
Knowledge of principles for providing customer services that meet quality standards. Must be able to communicate information clearly and accurately so that others understand.
Current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Rhode Island preferred.
EXPERIENCE :
Three to five years related experiences in workers’ compensation claim management with ability to manage a wide range of customer issues. Familiarity with RI Workers’ Compensation Laws and Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993 (FMLA) and the Rhode Island Parental and Family Medical Leave Act (RIPFMLA).
Has knowledge of workers’ compensation laws, legal codes, and governmental regulations regarding workers’ compensation.
Maintains quality assurance standards, safety, environmental and infection control in accordance! with Lifespan policies and procedures.
Performs other duties as required.
