Paralegal - Intellectual Property- TrademarksLocation: RI - PawtucketEmployment Type: RegularID: 8195DescriptionParalegalIntellectual Property- TrademarksFunction/Purpose: Provide support to the Intellectual Property Group in all aspects of the Company’s intellectual property work, including all aspects of trademark searching and analysis, artwork review and approval and working on complex trademark projects.Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Under the general direction of the Global Director of! IP and Enforcement, you will: - Conduct preliminary trademark! s searches for designated Marketing divisions of the company and analyze the results of such research.- Conduct initial review of full trademark search reports and note any areas of concern.- Organize trademark review meetings with appropriate clients and internal lawyers, including preparation of agenda and back-up materials.- Assisting with the due diligence process, such as searching for trademark and copyright status and ownership/assignment information.- Maintaining trademark search files.- Searching for domain name availability.- Review packaging and other collateral material to ensure for proper trademark use.- Reviewing and preparing IP schedules for agreements.- Servicing as a resource to attorneys with questions regarding IP registrations or portfolios.- Collaborate on other projects as needed.- Perform other duties as assigned.Education and Experience Requirements: - Associate’s Degree or Paralegal Certificate preferred; Bachelor’s Degree also a significant p! lus- 3-5 years of direct IP experience either in a law firm and/or in-house as a paralegal, required.Critical Skills: - Proficiency in conducting online research, including the use of Advantage and/or Saegis search tools.- Familiarity with USPTO procedures and regulations.- Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel.- Strong interpersonal skills.- Strong analytical and decision making skills.- Excellent oral and written communication skills.- Organized and detail-oriented.*LI-JW1For more information about careers at Hasbro become a fan on Facebook, follow us on Twitter and join our careers group on LinkedIn.J2W Posting Code: Corporate Business ServicesBusiness Unit: Corporate
