Headquartered in Andover, Massachusetts, we are 2 call centers large with over 25 law offices domestically.
General Summary:
Zwicker is presently seeking an Associate Attorney with 3 - 5 years litigation experience in a fast-paced environment to join our team in Rhode Island. The Associate Attorney will report to our Managing Attorney at the Andover, MA office. This position complements and oversees all active litigation throughout the state of Rhode Island while meeting client regulatory requirements. Breakdown of position is:
- 50% courtroom coverage (limited over-night travel);
- 40% document drafting and review;
- 9% data entry; and
- 1% direct client contact.
Principal Duties and Req! uirements:
- Draft, review and file legal plead! ings, motions, discovery, etc.
- Communicate effectively and appropriately with opposing counsels, pro se parties, corporate office litigation members and courts.
- Appear at hearings, motions, mediations, and arbitrations either in person (or telephonically when permitted).
- Conduct trials when necessary in furtherance of protecting the interests of both the client and Zwicker & Associates.
- Utilize Collection Software to properly update and document the status of each account in the Rhode Island inventory.
- Analyze and process reports to ensure that proper work flow is being adhered to pursuant to the expectations of both clients and Zwicker & Associates.
- Comply with all standard operational procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Juris Doctorate Degree;
- Membership in good standing with the State Bar of Rhode Island;
- 3-5 years of litigation/tria! l experience; and
- 1 or more years collection law experience.
- Self-Motivated;
- Organized;
- Strong Time Management Skills;
- Proficient Computer Skills including extensive experience in Microsoft Word/ Excel/Outlook;
- Attention to detail;
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
