Job Information

Position Summary:
Leads Quality Assurance function for the developme! nt team and participates in an integral part of the software lifecycle development process. Provides technical leadership and strategy to drive the validation of complex medical records software. Works with the agile software development team to implement best practices, standards and measures for the quality assurance group.

Position Duties and Responsibilities:

• Acts as key member of software development team by ensuring quality and user applicability testing is designed and launched according to project timelines

Ensures quality standards of software products through all stages of product development life cycle

• Drives quality of software as measured by number of post-implementation defects reported by clients

Establishes and evolves formal QA processes ensuring that the team is using industry-accepted best practices

Provides innovative ideas to software division to improve operational processes ! through quality test strategies and methodologies

Dev! elop QA policies and procedures and ensures adherence by QA team

Writes and refines complex test scripts

• Establishes and refines viable framework upon which to judge/base quality achievements

Develop, implement, track and report test metrics to product stakeholders

• Conducts sessions with operations division and end-users to define test requirements
• Oversees daily work of testing team

Provides technical guidance to team

Offers suggestions for skill enhancement and process refinement to ensure team is high performing

Provides feedback and redirects team as necessary to align with cultural and professional competencies

Maintain test environments

Background:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field is required.

A minimum of 5 years’ experience in software QA testing, with at least two years’ leading a team preferred.

Fa! miliarity with the agile software development and all facets of software lifecycle.

Proficient in developing and monitoring QA metrics.

Experience developing automated test scripts; and maintaining the scripts as software changes
