Commercial Lines Account Manager
OVERVIEW:
Creates extraordinary customer experience for commercial lines customers in person, over the phone and by mail. Responds to all customer requests the same business day. Handles all aspects of commercial lines accounts. Sells commercial lines policies and ensures account development of existing clients. Assists clients with claims and other related issues. Treats everyone with dignity, respect and courtesy. Conducts our business in an ethical manner.
PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs any functions necessary, within scope of authority and expertise, to provide the highest level of service and responsiveness to customers.
1. Provides proactive day-to-day client service by anticipating client needs and responding to client questions and issues in a timely ! manner.
2. Utilizes agency expiration lists to assure that! all renewals are met in a timely manner.
3. Reviews client exposures, loss experience and current coverage and recommends appropriate products and services.
4. Orders and processes endorsements at time of customer contact and provide documentation to the appropriate parties, including policyholders, insurance companies, lenders, and attorneys.
5. Ensures accuracy of binders, policies, and other relevant documents.
6. Responsible for growth of assigned book of business as well as client retention goals.
7. Utilizes the agency management system in an accurate and timely manner to enter and maintain certain account information, as well as documentation of all client contact by phone, mail, and e-mail.
8. Ensures that all regulatory and compliance requirements are met and follows all regulatory and compliance requirements are met and follows all internal policies and procedures.
9. Provides clients with accurate factual information utilizing appropr! iate resources. Makes necessary contacts both inside and outside of the organization in order to obtain clients requested information and then relay information.
10. Coordinates the claims process with policyholders over the phone or in person. Provides service for the claim process including contacting insurance company, assigning appraisers, and mailing checks to the policyholder. Ensures all documentation is sent to proper place.
11. Accepts all phone calls (no voicemails) with the exception of being on the phone or with a client, and returns all calls within the same business day.
12. Understands insurer underwriting appetites and products and has the ability to accurately rate and prepare quotations using website rating engines.

POSI! TION REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma with specialized coursew! ork or training. At least 3 years insurance experience. Strong attention to detail and communications, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Must maintain annual continuing education requirements and license renewals. Strong working knowledge of all Microsoft products including Word, Outlook and Excel.
