I've been driving him to and from school for about 2.5 years now. I've recently finished schoo! l and am about to start taking shifts working as a paramedic. However, every available shift runs into either me dropping him off or picking him up. What I need is pretty simple. I need someone to pick him up from school in Watertown at 3 p.m. and bring him home to Manville. He is deaf, blind and has a g tube, but there would be nothing required of you as far as care goes aside from getting him into his car seat and home safely. As far as wear and tear on the car goes, I'm open to my vehicle being used to transport him as long as the details can be worked out as far as picking up/dropping off my truck where I work in Pawtucket (Perhaps you come to my base, leave your car, then come back and switch after you drop him off at home). However, if you prefer to use your own car it's fine as long as you don't have a problem with having a car seat in your car (I will install it at the fire station). As far as compensation we can discuss it and it will depend on who's vehicle is bei! ng used. Generally it takes me about 2.5 hours for one round t! rip, I leave RI a little before two and am back a little after 4. Like I said we can discuss weekly/hourly wages, but I know that the transportation companies pay $9.25/hr and I'm willing to beat that! Quick and easy way to make some $$! My other kids are teenagers and are able to babysit once he gets home for the hour or so it will take me to get home. I will ask for a BCI and driving record (if you've never had one done, BCI's are $5 at the Attorney General's Office in Providence and you can pull a driving record on the RMV website for $17).
