PRIMARY FUNCTIONThis position has responsibility for the timely processing of new mortgage loan applications in compliance with Federal and State regulations as well as established standards, policies, and procedures of the Bank and investors.FINANCIAL IMPACT Inaccurate, incomplete and/or information not in accordance with investor guidelines can result in the inability to sell the loanPOSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES Ensure completeness and processes mortgage loans in accordance with established timeframes consistent with CMC policies/procedures and standards and federal regulations/guidelines Perform a document data integrity check and submit all applicable loans through Desktop Underwriter; interpret, communicate findings and conditions according to the loan program parameters Provide superior customer service by developing and maintaining a team relationship with the assigned Loan Officers, Closer and the Underwriting Dept. and by ensuring timely communication between all parties of any incomplete or problem items within CMC/CFG standards; maintain a positive working relationship with Vendors and external customers (loan customers, attorney, realtors, investors, peers) Meet or exceed established productivity, turn-time and closing goals by prioritizing files to meet commitment, closing and rate expiration dates while maintaining credit quality standards as established by CMC/CFG Demonstrate a general understanding of all mortgage products, investor guidelines, constraints, pricing, timeframes, federal and state regulations Ensure all quality control standards are met by reviewing files to ensure that written and oral communication is well documented and that any exceptions/non-compliance requirements are explained/justified General knowledge in the mortgage processing system applications (including but not limited to FiTech, LoanSoft, etc.) to ensure the accurate maintenance of status updates, processing and management reports within established timeframes POSITION QUALIFICATIONS 1-2 years residential mortgage processing experience required Experience with FHA Loans General knowledge of residential mortgage products and proven ability to remain current with industry changes/modifications General knowledge of govt. and bank regs/policies/procedures Demonstrated ability to deliver high level of customer service/satisfaction with both internal and external customers Strong organizational skills; self motivated; detail-orientedWe are accepting resumes from local applicants only.
