TITLE: Applications & Web Developer DEPARTMENT : Information Technology FLSA: Exempt GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: The Applications & Web Developer is a mid-level technical expert in a variety of application software and web systems development used by the Firm. Under general direction, the position works with manager(s), help desk staff, and peers, assisting in introducing and maintaining of application/web development that the Firm has in use. The position requires an extensive understanding troubleshooting skills, Visual Studio, variety of .Net frameworks, T-SQL, data manipulation and some experience in Photoshop. The Applications & Web Developer works under the general supervision of the Manager of Technology Development and the Sr. Web Developer, and may be responsible for maintenance, corrective situations and implementation of standards and/or conventions.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
To design and develop application and websites ensuring strong optimization and functionality. To monitor site technical performance and web server . Work on projects including web layout enhancements, desktop applications, website enhancements, web-based applications, and database-backed websites. Code web pages utilizing CSS and XHTML and programming languages including JavaScript, SQL and PHP and combinations of languages for instance AJAX. Interact with servers using SSH, FTP and Telnet protocols. Work with various database systems including SQL Server and Object Oriented Systems and frameworks including ADO, Web services and ODBC. Analyze, review and modify web systems by designing, maintaining, documenting, testing, developing and monitoring . Responsible for full lifecycle development. Other projects and duties as needed or assigned. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Knowledge .Net technologies as well as VBScript, JScript and batch level processing along with other. Comfortable with manipulating data and retrieving data from various systems. Knowledge of Windows Workflow technologies as they relate to InfoPath and SharePoint. Knowledge with IntApp system as a means to migrate data through various systems for consistency. Acts in accordance with all Firm policies, procedures and expectations. The position may be exposed to sensitive data and/or password information, thus requiring, the employee to have high integrity and strong character. Demonstrates a mature logic, analytic aptitude and creativity in the approach to issues demanding resolution, by drawing on own expertise and experience base while utilizing other references and resources as necessary. Demonstrates deductive reasoning skills in diagnosing and solving software and hardware problems. Demonstrates the ability to clearly express ideas, thoughts, and concepts verbally and/or in writing, as appropriate to the position and task at hand. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: · A Bachelor’s degree is preferred in Computer Science or other related disciplines. · Two to three years work experience using .Net is preferred. · Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft development framework, preferred experience in Windows Workflow Foundation (WWF), and a strong appreciation for customer service. · Excellent oral and written communications skills are also required. SCOPE OF INTERPERSONAL CONTACTS : Contacts are with superiors, fellow workers and vendor’s representatives; information given and received can be sometimes technical in nature; this position requires the ability to exercise a considerable degree of interpersonal skills. WORK ENVIRONMENT: Work is generally confined to a standard office environment. Hours of workday are 9-5, Monday thru Friday (35 hour workweek). Overtime may be required due to deadlines and/or emergency situations.
