Location: Cumberland, Rhode Island

Description: CVS Caremark is presently looking of Adjuster II â€" General Liability right now, this vacancy will be dwelled in Rhode Island. This position is accountable for the investigation, negotiation, and resolution of litigated and non-litigated general liability claims. This position also is responsible for the budgetary considerations in setting reserves, including bodily injury and expenses, and determining all possible third parties, insurance carrier involvement, and notifications which arise from the handling of these potential claims. This position will also handle limited litigation, ie. small claims, friendly suits and limited exposure litigation.

Responsibilities:

• Investigate general liability cases with larger exposures. This requires extensive interaction with internal departments, management, field employees, and customers and attorneys to determine facts of the loss through investigation and interaction with all of the above parties, to ensure timely handling and resolution of claims.
• Review/interpretation of medical reports to determine causal relationship and assist in evaluation of the claim.
• Make vendor referrals as needed for independent medical exams, field investigation and surveillance.
• Evaluate and negotiate settlements with customers and/or their attorneys on behalf of CVS.
• Recognition and referral of potential subrogation cases.
• Maintain high levels of customer service.
• Recognize and refer potential high exposure cases to CVS management and the appropriate insurance carrier.
• Develop skills need to handle limited exposure litigation.

Requirements:
Requirements:Candidates need to possess the following skills/abilities:

• 3-5 years of claims adjusting experience.
• Superior written and verbal communication skills.
• Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Proven ability to handle conflict successfully.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and ability to interpret medical reports.
• Excellent PC skills, to include experience using Microsoft Office.

Education:

• Bachelors degree in a related field or working towards a bachelors degree in a related field.
• AIC, ARM, CPCU, or other insurance degree preferred or working towards such designation and/or degree.
