Description: St. Mary's Home for Children is currently interviewing Child and Family Trauma Treatment Program - Parent Educator right now, this job will be arranged in Rhode Island. Summary: The Shepherd Program, is looking for a full-time Bachelor's level Parent Educator to join our CFTT Program to provide information to non-offending parent(s)/caretaker(s) relating to sexual abuse, in a home based setting. The parent educator will work collaboratively with a clinician creating and implementing therapeutic interventions through assessment and treatment planning using a strength based approach; providing psychoeducation to the parent(s)/caretaker(s) around sexual abuse; maintaining case records including progress notes and reports, per accreditation requirements; collaborate with outside service providers and justice departments, including law enforcement, Attorney General's Office, DCYF, etc; case management, transportation assistance, and client advocacy as needed.
Qualifications of Parent Educator: Bachelor Degree in Social Work or related field. Experience working with children and families affected by sexual abuse/trauma preferred. Bilingual candidates (English/Spanish) encouraged to apply.
Valid driver's license required. All positions require a background check. EOE
