Technology Trainer - Providence, RI with travel to Boston as needed
The Technology Trainer is in charge of all technical training for their respective office(s), including technical development of support staff, professional staff and administrative staff. Scope of training includes new hire process, new technology implementation, technology upgrades, ongoing enrichment programs and any special needs that arise. Experience developing and working with e-learning software is a component of this position. The Technology Trainer works in direct collaboration with other members of the Training group to develop and ex! ecute training initiatives, and in tandem with other groups in! the Information Technology Department, to develop and implement new technology products and upgrades. The Technology Trainer also works directly with designated Office Administrators to address specific technology needs in said locations. The incumbent must be available/flexible to travel to other Firm offices, mostly between the Providence and Boston offices as needed.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Writing: The Technology Trainer is expected, during unscheduled training time, to design and develop new training materials and update existing training materials.
Technology Implementation: The Technology Trainer will work with the Applications Groups to develop and implement new technologies as well as major and minor upgrades.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Three to five to yearsâ experience with organization technologies and training, preferably within a law firm or professional services organization.
Bachelorâs Degree! or equivalent work experience required.
Strong public speaking skills are required.
Demonstrated experience with eLearning technologies preferred.
Education/experience in adult education preferred.
Proven ability and experience in technical writing and training curriculum development.
Ability to work collaboratively with all departments and colleagues within the Firm.
